Garissa Township Member of parliament Aden Duale has sent warning to four dissenting IEBC commissioners that is; Juliana Cherera, Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit and Justus Nyang’aya, of an impending ‘punishment.’
This is after the four released a statement on Tuesday accepting the decision of the Supreme Court to uphold the election of William Ruto as president and further agreeing with IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.

Duale accused the four commissioners of nearly plunging the country into a crisis by making false claims about elections, especially at the last minute of the process.
“What a change of tune.! These are the same Commissioners who almost took this country into a crisis as they purported to make false claims not only against the @IEBCKenyaChair but of an election that they oversaw to the end but on realizing their “masters” had failed they purported to create confusion at the 11th hour.
“These are the same Commissioners who took Kenyans for a ride as they appeared in media conferences with the 0.01% embarrassing circus in what they called “mathematical absurdity”,” the lawmaker said.
According to him, the commissioners , in collaboration with their ‘masters’, attempted to subvert the will of the people. He referred to their actions as gross misconduct which they should be held accountable for.
“No, it cannot be business as usual! The actions in what appeared like cinema featuring Cherera as the lead actor and voice actress is a pure blatant gross violation of the Constitution and the law for attempting to subvert the will of People through fabrications. Their actions were also nothing short of gross misconduct as they worked in cohort with their wicked masters to negate a free and fair election,” Duale said.
The MP added that the four Commissioners will not go unpunished for violating the constitution as well as the law.
“Consequently, the four commissioners should be held accountable both individually and collectively. They cannot turn on and off like a switch and expect us to just forget everything. They must face the music. Article 251 of the Constitution which provides for the removal of commissioners on grounds of gross violation of the Constitution and the law and gross misconduct can only be the only solution! This is the music they must face!” he stated.
