Raila Odinga Is Like An Old Man With Bad Manners- Didmus Barasa

Date:

Kimilili MP and a close ally of President William Ruto Didmus Barasa has said that Kenya Kwanza will remain alert now that Former Azimio Leader Raila Odinga had agreed to work with them.

Speaking at a recent function in Bungoma County, Barasa noted that they have not forgotten Raila’s character and wouldn’t risk for anything.

He likened Raila with old men that have bad character

“President William Ruto has nominated  ODM members, it is not that we love those people so much. And don’t think that we have forgotten, we know this old man. He is like the older men who have bad manners. When he passes through your home, you have given him tea and as soon as you walk away to make a call, he borrows your wife her phone number.

“Now that he has joined us, we are not sleeping. When they say we close our eyes for a prayer, for us, we don’t close so that we observe him keenly ,” he said adding that their alertness on Raila is aimed at ensuring that he doesn’t do what he did during the Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki’s regimes.

“He joined the government but when elections neared,  he left with all his people nearly collapsing the government. We are alert and are seeing what is ahead,” Barasa went on

Speaking on the appointments of ODM members to cabinet positions, Raila said that Kenya Kwanza came begging for his help after failing as a government.

“They had failed, dissolved the Cabinet and came to us to give the people. They came begging please give us your people who know how to work,”  he said on Monday, adding that the allies he fronted for cabinet positions are experts and that things will be better in the country if they ascend to office
