“I Had To Choose Between Money And My Family” Nanny Rosie Reveals Why She Quit Her Lebanon Job

Date:

Rosie went viral towards the end of last year, when emotions ran down at an airport in Lebanon, as she returned to Kenya after working for two years as her nanny.

The kids she was taking care of, Maria and Cataleya, were heartbroken because of her departure and didn’t want to let her go.

Rosie resumed her job in January, and 6 months later, she quit, returning to Kenya permanently last month.

The move raised many questions, some wondering if she had been fired. Others thought that she had gotten pregnant hence that is why her bosses dismisses her.

The mother of three however set the record straight in an interview with Obinna TV

“When I went back in January, I knew I wouldn’t finish a two-year contract but I didn’t tell them because I knew they will be heartbroken. I had promised the children that I would return because they were so emotional. We had also agreed before the video trended that I would go back,” she said.

When she returned, she did her duties well as expected but the major problem was her three children back at home, making her not to have peace.

“My girl is turning 14, this is the age that they want to be with their parents. She would call the all the time crying wanting me back. So you are working but you can’t focus. The boys also, they talk to you as if you abandoned them as in they don’t feel your love. Everyone saw the viral video, and they are kids, they don’t understand that you are working. They felt I have other children somewhere. It was breaking them,” she opened up.

According to her, she would cry most of the time because her children were no longer interested with her.

“I had to choose between money and my family,” she said.
