I Voted Yes To Finance Bill and I Won’t Apologize- Kuresoi North MP

Date:

Kuresoi North MP Alfred Mutai has condemned Molo Youths who attacked the home of their MP Kimani Kuria, who is also the chair of the Finance Committee at the National Assembly.

Speaking to members of his  constituency, Mutai hoped that the cleansing ceremony that was conducted at Kuria’s home recently will ensure that those who were involved in the invasion pay.

“We condemn the attack and pray that the cleansing will do something to those who destroyed Kuria’s property. Why steal chicken and cattle, and burn cars?”

He added that the Finance Committee seat should be transferred to Kuresoi North if Molo residents do not want developments, like his constituents.

“If there is a constituency that has really benefited, then it is Molo constituency. There is no bad road in Molo, every part of Molo has power connectivity. But if destroying their MP’s property is how they give back, ole wao!” Mutai said.

The MP further declared that he does not regret voting yes to the Finance Bill.

“Right now the Molo MP cannot hold a rally like this one. I voted Yes na siombi msamaha. Because I knew that Yes would bring this road, that Yes would bring development here,” he said.

A section of MPs, aside from Kuria, who supported the bill have been facing the wrath of the people and some can’t even visit ther constituencies.

Kibwezi West MP was kicked out of a funeral last weekend while Webuye East Mp Martin Wanyonyi was hit by stick by one of the members of his constituency.

Further reports indicate that Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa’s perimeter wall was brought down by angry locals

Kimani Ichungwah, who is Kikuyu MP and the majority leader also suffered losses when his Kikuyu office was set ablaze .
