A woman found herself in the attention of police officers who were patroling in Nairobi’s CBD near archives, as protests against the Finance Bill 2024 heightened.
The woman who was standing by the fence had a bag pack and when the uniformed men came to her, they engaged her in a brief interrogation.
Judging from her reaction, she seemed reluctant to comply with the police’ demands.
One of the officers however forced her to comply and she hurriedly opened her bag.
Confirming that there was no threat, the officers then allowed her to leave.
The officers then continued with their patrolling stopping people from idling in town ahead of planned protests with the destination being parliament.

Kenyans will on Tuesday match to parliament in a bid to compel MPs to reject the Finance Bill 2024.
The protests dubbed Occupy Parliament have been organized by Boniface Mwangi along with other activists.
Kenyans from all parts of the country have been encouraged to convene at Ambassadeur/Archives, Nation Centre, Supreme Court, Skate Park, Taifa Road, Kencom Stage and City Hall Way. From their, they will then match to parliament buildings.
“Come early to town, and just walk around, see what’s happening,” Mwangi said on Facebook.
The protests start at 11 am with Harambee Avenue being the main route.
“Wear black, carry a whistle/vuvuzela, a placard with a message to your MP, and drinking water,” Mwangi added.
