MCSK CEO Ezekiel Mutua is celebrating his birthday this Thursday.
Mutua, who is in his late 50s took to social media to share a special message for himself on his big day.
“It’s my birthday!!!!Blessed to be in the golden jubilee years. Old age is a privilege denied to many. I therefore dedicate myself more to God and to the service of humanity,” he said, adding that he was raising Kshs1,000 from each of his close friends for a charity project.
“Now, on this special day I have a ask: all my friends here who are close enough to have my mpesa number I only need 1k from each and everyone of you to accomplish a project close to my heart that will touch lives and make my birthday truly memorable. I will share the amount and the project on a live TikTok session on “The CEO” platform in the evening. I am calling this a 1k project. Twende kazi!” the former CEO of the Kenya Film Classification Board said.
Moments later, he shared a screenshot of his Mpesa balance, indicating his friends had overwhelmingly heeded to his appeal.
“You guys are incredible. In three hours you have already given over 200k for the 1k birthday project. Unbelievable! Thank you so much,” Mutua extended his gratitude.
At the same time, he shared a video of birthday wishes from his late mother.
“This birthday message video where my mum starred as the main character is the best of all time. Mum was a gem. I dedicate this day to her memory,” he said
