Kenya Airways Clarifies Reports of Selling Company to Delta Airways

Date:

Kenya Airways has denied reports that it has sold its shares to Delta Airways.

In a statement, the national carrier dismissed the reports as fake indicating that CEO John Kivaluka had not announced the said deal.

“This is incorrect. No such statement has been issued by our CEO. Follow our official channels for up to date information,” the airline insisted.

This is after social media reports claimed that Kenya Airways had sold the share to Delta Airways giving them the right to run the national carrier.

However, Kenya Airways has dismissed the reports.

In 2023, Kenya Airways PLC and Delta Air Lines (DL)  announced an expansion of their strategic partnership with inclusion of Kenya Airways’ nonstop Nairobi to New York operated service.

The expanded partnership also offered customers additional travel options within the U.S. and increased flying opportunities within Africa increasing customers’ travel options to more than 31 destinations in Africa and 57 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
