Erick Marcelo Set to Miss Harambee Stars Matches After Sustaining Injury

Date:

Harambee Stars will be without the services of defender Erick Marcelo who has been ruled out after sustaining an injury.

The former Gor Mahia defender will be out for three or four weeks.

This is after Rakow Czestochowa confirmed that Ouma suffered an injury match against Korona Kielce, which they won 2-0 on Wednesday night.

“Erick Otieno finished Wednesday’s match with an injury. The tests showed a tear of the biceps femoris muscle. Erick’s break will last approximately 3-4 weeks,” the club announced on Friday, March 15.

“Erick, get well soon!” the polish side added.

Ouma was substituted in the 54th minute after he was taken off on a stretcher raising injury concerns. He was among the players named by Harambee Stars Coach Engin Firat for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament.

The tournament scheduled from Thursday 23 to Tuesday 26 March 2024, is set to witness tough competition between Harambee Stars, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and hosts Malawi, in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
