Family in Distress After KCB FC Goalkeeper Mysteriously Goes Missing

The family of KCB Football Club goalkeeper Brian Opiyo Olang’o is in distress following the mysterious disappearance of their kin.

According to his brother, Kevin Olang’o, the KCB goalkeeper left home to meet with his friends in Embakasi, Nairobi.

However, at around 7:30 pm, he sent a message indicating that his life was in danger.

” He left and informed his family that he was going out to meet his friends in Embakasi. However, at around 7:30 he sent a distress message indicating that his life was in danger,” Kevin Olang’o stated.

“We have reported the matter at Makongeni Police Station, Ruai Police Station and now we are heading to Buruburu Police Station,” Kevin stated while pointing out that his brother’s phone had been switched off.

Opiyo’s mysterious disappearance has left his family worried but his brother noted that they are working with law enforcement officers to ensure his safe return.

KCB FC also confirmed his disappearance calling on Kenyans on any information to his whereabouts to file a report at a nearby police station.

“We have received reports from the family of our player Brian Opiyo Olang’o that the goalkeeper has been missing from 6pm March 10, 2024. We have been informed that he sent an SOS to his wife stating that he is not at a safe place,” the statement read in part.

“Anybody with any reports regarding his disappearance should report the matter to the nearest Police Station. We are working closely with his family together with other agencies to ensure his safety.”

The goalkeeper signed for KCB FC at the start of the season after parting ways with Mathare United. Opiyo has also left a mark with the national U17 team and Kariobangi Sharks.

Opiyo started on the bench as KCB Football Club ended their eight-match winless streak in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Shabana FC in Machakos on Friday, March 8.
