Barely hours after the the completion of a 3-bedroomed house within 7-days, President William Ruto has announced that Kelvin Kiptum’s wife Asenath Rotich and their 2 children will get another house from the government
President Ruto announced that during Kiptum’s state funeral that was held in Chepkorio, Elgeyo Marakwet.
He also revealed that Kiptum’s wife will also get a job.
“Just the way we had said, we have already given the family Ksh5 million and now the government will give him another new house beside the house we have built here and it will belong to his wife,” the head of state said.
“I will sit down with the county governor to see what job we can give Asenath so that she can take care of Kiptum’s children,” he added.
In his speech, Ruto also hailed Kiptum as a focused and ambitious man who came from a humble background.
“He worked against the odds. In Kelvin, we saw the future of athletics in Kenya. He stood out not only as a great athlete but more importantly as a good person. He was ambitious, disciplined and focused,” said.
