Former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta made a surprise appearance during an event organized by Raila Odinga’s family.
Margaret Kenyatta joined other guests in honouring the legacy of the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
The family is making the 30th anniversary of its patriarch Jaramogi.
The Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 20, was held at St. Stephen’s Milimani ACK Church, Kisumu city.
Other renowned leaders also joined Odinga’s family for the occasion.
Margaret with her entourage were received outside the church in the Saturday mid-morning.
A radiant-looking Raila with his wife, Mama Ida Odinga, led the family in the event.
Scholars such Mukhisa Kituyi, Governor Anyang Nyong’o and other notable speakers are expected to give a lecture on Jaramogi’s legacy.
