Mike Sonko has for the third time come to the rescue of former female boxing champion Conjestina Achieng’.
Sonko said that he did not give up on Conjestina despite the fact that her family let him down.
He has however noted that this is the last time that he would be helping her.
“Even though our chances in Conjestina’s healing journey were watered down, I’m a person who doesn’t give up in life. It is for this reason that we have given Conjestina the third and last chance again on her case,” he said.
The former governor revealed that Conjestina has been re-admitted at the Mombasa Women’s Hospital for her treatment.
“I just want to let the public know that she was readmitted at the Mombasa women rehabilitation centre where she will start her treatment afresh under the care of a group of specialists, including councilors, consultants and physiatrists.
“My special thanks go to the Mombasa Women’s Hospital management led by the chief administrator, Hon. Amina Abdalla for accepting us back to the facility. Mungu mbele,” Sonko said.

Conjestina had gone back to her rural home and had a relapse after a fallout with Mike Sonko over air tickets.
Apparently, Conjestina was annoyed after Sonko made her use a bus to Nairobi, when he was supposed to make an appearance in court.
According to the flamboyant politician, all flights were fully booked and some of his team were even forced to use SGR.
Sonko however blamed Conjestina’s family by failing to ensure that she returns under his care in good time.
