Kenyan Student Arrested In India For Trafficking African Girls

Police in India have apprehended a Kenyan man who has been linked with human a  trafficking ring in Goa that has been targeting “young African Women.”

Newton Muthuri Kimani was arrested by the police after a complain was filed against two Nigerians, ”  identified as Isralite alias Dorcast Maria and Olokpa” who are believed to be his partners in the illegal business.

The trio are said to have been luring African girls to the Asian country with a promise of connecting them to jobs in the Hospitality industry, “only to force them into prostitution upon their arrival.”

According to investigations, Kimani was found to be managing multiple bank accounts that received money from the trafficking business.

The money was then transferred to Kenya and other countries through M-pesa as well as foreign bank accounts.

“A raid conducted in the Anjuna area of Goa led to the rescue of two Kenyan nationals who had been coerced into the trafficking network. Subsequent searches in Gujarat and Punjab resulted in the seizure of incriminating documents and digital devices, furthering the investigation.

“The Panaji court has granted the ED custody of Kimani until December 15,” an Indian publication stated.

In September, Indian police also arrested Kenyan women who were linked to a sex syndicate.

The police revealed that the women promised ” jobseekers lucrative ventures in India, only to change the terms and conditions of their agreement after arrival. ”

They are said to have confiscate passports and visas of their victims and sell them to willing buyers.
