President William Ruto’s Economic Advisor David Ndii ignited debate online following his message published on Sunday November 26.
Ndii stated that he abhorred lies, corruption and despising the citizens.
His message however did not give a proper context to whom it was referred too leaving Kenyans guessing.
“Three things I will not be party to, defend or take collective responsibility for, ” Ndii wrote on X formerly known as Twitter.
1. Lies, and taking the public for fools
2. Corruption
3. Vomiting on the peoples shoes
His statement raised concerns over the state of affairs within the ruling party.
A section of Kenyans online argued that Ndii was absolving himself from Kenya Kenya failed promises.
“Absolutely agree! Standing firm against lies, corruption, and any form of disrespect to the public is crucial for a responsible and accountable society. Please advise your BOSS to be more realistic in his promises. Wakenya tumechoshwa na hizo uongo zake, ” one social media user wrote.
However others asked Ndii to resign instead of attacking while defending Kenya Kwanza administration at the same time.
“I can bet my last coin that Ndii won’t last another year in this government, he will soon be out, either voluntarily or by being kicked out!” another social media user responded to Ndii’s statement.
Earlier, Ruto’s Economic Advisor had clashed with Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot who accused of giving Kenya Kwanza administration failed theories.
Their public exchange showed the simmering fallout within top leadership in Kenya Kwanza.
“Raila is high maintenance,” Ndii wrote while responding to allegations that the dialogue committee wasted taxpayers money.
“At least his theories work,” Cheruiyot responded to Ndii.
A section of political analysts argued that the public of distrust in Ruto’s Economic Advisor by a lawmaker reflected on the general view from Kenyans.
They argued that most Kenyans had lost trust in Ruto’s administration to turn things around especially the economy.
