The incident comes just days after a Nairobi County official, Osman Khalif, was abducted also in broad daylight.
The incident occurred on November 11, 2023 at Sarit Center in Westlands.
He was cornered by five armed men while in the company of his wife.
MPs from the pastoralist community have since joined Khalif’s family in demanding for his release, lest they petition President William Ruto to direct police to release him.
“This barbaric and illegal way of handling suspects should come to an end. If the gentleman has committed a crime, there are procedures, take him to court and subject him to the rule of law,” Eldas MP Adan Keynan
“His reported disappearance is known to the police, and in fact we were expecting that he would be brought to a court of law yesterday. However, now on the sixth day, there is no word about his whereabouts or his fate,” Kamkunji MP Yusuf Hassan stated on the other hand.
