Apostle Joe Kayo, Founder of Deliverance Church Kenya, Uganda Dies

Kenya Pastors Fellowship Network Media on Thursday night November 2 led the nation in mourning the death of Apostle Joe Kayo, the founder of Deliverance Church in Kenya and Uganda.

In their statement, the Pastors Fellowship stated that Kayo died after a short illness.

“The loss of Apostle Joe Kayo from his mortality will forever be missed though seeing his books in our libraries is so touching with a profound sense of grief that we come together to remember and honor his extraordinary life.

Apostle Joe Kayo was a pioneer in the Pentecostalism movement and revival in Kenya and Eastern Africa. A Charismatic orator and a trailblazer beacon of wisdom and embodiment of grace,” the Pastors Fellowship eulogized the deceased.

Robert Burale, a renowned public speaker also mourned Kayo noting that he lived his life inspiring generations.

Kayo founded Deliverance Church Kenya and Uganda, Juba Pentecostal Church, and helped found Family of God Churches of Zimbabwe.

Having lived in the U.S.A for almost four years where Joe Kayo Ministries International was registered, he returned to Kenya with his wife and re-established the Church of the Spirit and Truth, under which many congregations operate.

He has authored great books, among them; The Marvel of God’s Grace, The Lion has Prevailed, The Eagle Saint, Knowing the Name of the Lord, God’s Pattern for Daily Living, The Power of the Blood of Christ. His periodical Revival Digest magazine is widely circulated and is a favorite of many.
