Four Points by Sheraton, on Tuesday, October 31 opened a new hotel in Kampala Uganda.
The opening ceremony was presided over by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and other top government officials from Uganda.
While officiating the opening ceremony, President Museveni assured the investors that Uganda had enough raw materials to sustain their operations in the East African country.
He also asked the Four Points by Sheraton to spread the word to other capitalists to pump their investments in Uganda.
“I welcomed the group to Uganda and assured them they were in the right place at the right time. As a country, we have everything from raw materials, the internal market of 46 million people, the East African market of 700 million, and the market of Africa of 1.7 billion for goods and services,” Museveni stated.
“I urged them to bring more investors, especially in manufacturing and agro-processing. We shall continue to support the private sector because it strengthens the economy, which is what Uzalendo (Nationalism/Patriotism) actually means. A strong economy allows the country to be independent. I wish them good luck,” he added.
The hotel is expected to boast Uganda’s hospitality sector while at the same time creating employment opportunities for the locals.
