Had she not been a politician and practising law, nominated senator Karen Nyamu would probably have made a name in the modelling industry.
During her days in college, Nyamu undertook modelling lessons after she was selected to participate in Miss Kenya beauty contest.
The mother of three landed the position because of her physical features that are very key for the contestants.
“When in Law school I was scouted for miss Kenya beauty contest. Because of my height and bust waist hips cordinates, @chriskirwa and team were convinced they had found that year’s winner. I took some modeling lessons where i learnt to walk as i twist my hips like this,” she recalled.
This dream however never came to materialise because of her father’s warning.
“Eventually Mr Nyamu told me to choose between school and nonsense😆 Mboka ikazima hivo,” she shared on social media.
Reacting to her post, Chris Kirwa maintained that they were right in picking her as she would have definitely won the contest.
“Dad won, but we were right, you would have won,” he said.
A section of her followers also noted that it was not too late to try her hand again in modelling.
“Sahii ungekuwa miss parliament its never late,” radio girl Sheilah Kwamboka told her.
Responding to her, Nyamu said the dream is dead.
“Acha hizxo, I hope you can still remember how to cat walk. Hapo parliament piga catwalk, your dreams are valid mhesh,” Kwambox further told her.
