Lawyer and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo has said that viral quack lawyer Brian Mwenda stands no chance in joining the high court as advocate.
In a tweet, Otiende said that he sympathizes with Mwenda because all the sympathy he is getting on social media can not help him realize the dream because of the crime of impersonation that he is currently facing.

Mwenda made headlines when the Law Society of Kenya Nairobi branch exposed him as a fake lawyer.
According to LSK, the quack lawyer was able to practice law by stealing the identity of an actual lawyer and breaching LSK’s portal.
It has since been established that Mwenda has won 26 cases in court and even appeared in a televised court proceeding.
Some of the individuals who came forward to support Mwenda after the expose are COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli and former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko
In his statement, Atwoli referred to Mwenda as a brilliant young Kenya, advocating for a fair and transparent examination on his skills, knowledge and competence.
“The Central Organization of Trade Unions (Kenya), COTU (K), wishes to express its strong support for Brian Mwenda Njagi, a young and brilliant Kenyan who has recently faced condemnation for practicing law without the traditional law qualifications. COTU (K) firmly believes in the principle of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which acknowledges and values the knowledge, skills, and competencies individuals have acquired through non-traditional learning pathways,” part of his statement read.
Sonko on the other hand said that he was willing to bail out of jail Mwenda and pay for his law education.
