President William Ruto on Wednesday, October 4 reshuffled his Cabinet, in a move that saw various ministries merged and renamed.
In a statement shared by State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed, President Ruto expanded the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary to include the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, headed by Musalia Mudavadi.
Moses Kuria was moved from his Trade docket to the Ministry of Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management.
Rebecca Miano took over the Trade docket from Moses Kuria.
On the other hand, Alfred Mutua was moved from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and resigned to head the Tourism and Wildlife docket.
Peninah Malonza was reassigned to the Ministry of East African Community from the Tourism docket.
Aisha Jumwa was moved from the Ministry of Public Service and moved to head the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts & Heritage.
Alice Wahome was moved to the Ministry of Lands Public Works & Urban Housing from the Water.
Zachariah Njeru, the former Lands CS was transferred to the Ministry of Water & Sanitation previously held by CS Wahome.
Other Changes
Ruto established a new cabinet position- the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage which was assigned to Jumwa.
The Head of State also reconstituted the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage renamed as the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.
Additionally, Ruto renamed the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The Ministry of Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action was reconstituted and renamed the Ministry of Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management.
