The mother of a teenage girl implicated in the murder of Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo on Wednesday, September 27, narrated the fallout before her daughter disappeared.
According to the suspect’s mother, they had a heated argument over food on that fateful night.
They argued up to around 11 p.m. when the suspect disappeared from their house in Kibra. However, her mother only realized this in the morning.
On the day when Eric Maigo met his tragic end, he was seen partying with three women at a club along Ngong Road at around 10 p.m.
It is not clear how she ended up in Maigo’s house.

Subsequently, CCTV cameras captured the teenager’s presence five blocks away from the location where the murder allegedly occurred.
The house from which the suspect was seen jumping is not Eric Maigo’s residence, even though it is in the same neighborhood.
The DCI later identified her as a prime suspect, initiating a highly publicized manhunt.
Appearing in court, the suspect raised attempted rape claims giving the case a new twist.
The police were however granted a 21-day detention period to conclude their investigations. During this time, they face the daunting task of connecting the dots between a juvenile delinquent with no mobile phone and who does not cut the image of someone trying to get away with murder.
The suspect was apprehended at a friend’s house in her Bombolulu neighborhood of Kibra.
