“He Meant Teargas”DP Gachagua Stirs Kenyans After Claiming Tigers Exist In Kenya

Date:

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has left Kenyans talking after claiming that Kenya has tigers.

The second in command made the remarks while addressing potential investors in Colombia.

Gachagua urged the Colombian business leaders to visit the country and also invest, because of the hospitable nature of Kenyans and a variety of wild animals they can enjoy viewing.

“Kenya is a very warm country, we are very welcoming people we are very hospitable and we invite Colombian business people to come and invest in Kenya. Again, as you come to invest in Kenya, we have many facilities for tourism. We have rare species of wildlife; the elephant, rhino, buffalo and the tiger,” the DP said in a video that has since gone viral.

Kenyans have however been shocked by his remarks with some accusing him of lying to the International communities. Below is some of their reactions;

Caxstone P. Kigata:  While delivering a speech in Columbia, Mr Gachagua lied to the audience that we have tigers in Kenya. Fact is that tigers have never historically lived on the African continent. We have indeed exported lies to the international community.

Bob Zinger: He meant teargas

Bald Head: Kwani KK wamerogwa na mahajaam? Just yesterday Kuria was lying to Kenyans about the price of cooking oil, Arap mugunda naye was like lions swim in Lamu, sasa huyu leo anadai story ya Tigers?

Dif Madara: Gachagua belongs to the exclusive group that things Twiga is Tiger in English. I used to be in that group in Std. 1

Tigers however don’t exists in Kenya and Africa at large. According to researchers, the members of the cat family have never lived in the continent historically because of geographical and scientific reasons.

Tigers can only be found in the Asian countries.
