Joho and Junet have been missing in Raila Odinga let functions for months now.
Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio la Umoja alliance, met with former Mombasa governor Hassan Joho and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, ending months of speculation and questions surrounding their absence from his political functions.
For several months, Joho and Junet had been conspicuously absent from Raila Odinga’s political activities, leaving many to wonder about the possible rifts and reasons behind their unexplained absence. Speculations ran rife, with various theories circulating in the political landscape.
On Tuesday, Raila Odinga and his two prominent allies reconvened, putting an end to the rumors and uncertainties. Joho, taking to his social media platform, shared images of their meeting, showcasing the trio engaged in discussions, at a hotel setting.
The images, no doubt, served as a reassuring sign to their supporters and political observers alike that Joho and Junet were still loyal to Raila Odinga.
Captioning the pictures, Joho expressed his sentiments, saying, “It’s always great to catch up with our Boss, the Rt. Hon Raila Odinga.”
The absence of Joho and Junet from Azimio rallies, which were frequently convened by Raila Odinga, had raised eyebrows and led to questions from Azimio supporters. Some speculated that internal disagreements or power struggles might have been the cause of their estrangement.
Junet Mohamed, in particular, had been noticeably absent from the Azimio rallies following Raila Odinga’s defeat in the election held on March 10, 2023. His return to the forefront of the political scene if he does, will be a significant moment,in the ongoing political discourse and initiatives being championed by the Azimio movement and Raila Odinga.
