Photos: Bomet Women Rep Linet Toto gets engaged on Valentine’s Day

Date:

Bomet Woman Representative Linet Toto Chepkorir is off the dating market for now.

As the world celebrated Valentine’s Day, photos of Linet Toto and her fiancĂ© Godfrey Kimutai Tanui proposal to her went viral online. She came to the attention of the media when she attended a meeting at Deputy President William Ruto’s Karen home, where he was hosting UDA aspirants.

Toto was locked out of the meeting for about an hour by security officers who misidentified her for a village girl who had strayed in.

Tanui is seen on bended knee in photos taken in a love-themed room, possibly mesmerized by the gesture.

The proposition drew different reactions from Kenyans, including Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, who warned that he’d make her pregnant after she said negative comments about Raila Odinga.

“Congratulations Linet Toto. Indeed love is a beautiful thing with the right person. Wishing you the best,” Taita Taveta Woman Rep, Lydia Haika said.

“Hii imekuja nyumbani! Congratulations Geoffrey Tanui (Nifty Kim) and my Women Rep Bomet County Hon. Linet Toto. Welcome to Konoin Constituency a beautiful land with great people. Lapaa Taa,” Konoin MP Brighton Yegon added.

Toto’s fiancĂ©e is little known because she rarely posts about her personal life.

The Bomet Woman Representative, a recent Chuka University graduate, defeated eight older candidates to become the county’s third Woman Representative.
