Legendary TV news anchor Catherine Kasavuli dies at 60

Catherine Kasavuli, a seasoned TV news anchor, has sadly died.

After a fight with cancer, Catherine Kasavuli passed away at the of 60 at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

The death was announced by her employers, KBC.

“Legendary broadcaster, Catherine Kasavuli, has died. She passed away on Thursday night at KNH where she was receiving treatment,” KBC shared.

Since October 26 Kasavuli had been admitted to KNH. A  coworker informed Kenyans about her predicament and that she needed support. Cervical cancer affects the neck of the womb and it is the growth of abnormal cells in the lining of the cervix.

She recently made a comeback on television, after KBC engaged her as one of the veterans to overhaul the media company and make it even more appealing and competitive.

After she was hospitalized at KNH in November, coworkers and friends in the media urged people to donate blood for an immediate transfusion.

KBC, Kasavuli’s employer, made a blood donation appeal as she was being admitted to the private section of Kenyatta Hospital.

Condolences to family, colleagues, friends and fans.
