“Ni Uhuru tu alileta ujuaji mingi ya pesa nane!” says Mike Sonko.
Mike Mbuvi Sonko, a former governor of Nairobi, has reopened hostilities with governor Johnson Sakaja by accusing him of tyrannizing the county government.
Sonko criticized Sakaja in an interview with Nation, telling him to be thankful that “Uhuru messed” up his chance to be on the poll because he would not have been elected Governor if he had contested.
“Ni Uhuru tu alileta ujuaji mingi ya pesa nane. But ningekua kwa debe haungekua Governor wa Nairobi.” says Sonko.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has been accused by Sonko with orchestrating his removal from power.
Uhuru has also confessed that he was involved in Sonko’s removal from office.
Several courts, including the Supreme Court, upheld his impeachment, making him ineligible to run for any public office.
Sonko’s conflict with Sakaja started when he allegedly heard “many complaints” about the governor’s management style from a group of leaders and some City citizens.
