John Mbadi says Kenyans have been deceived by Kenya Kwanza government led by President William Ruto and Deputy Rigathi Gachagua with the Hustler Fund. Yesterday, President William Ruto fulfilled one of his major campaign promises by launching the eagerly anticipated Hustler Fund.
According to the government, the Hustler Fund is the “administration’s response to predatory lending, which historically has denied many households the chance to contribute their proper contribution to nation-building.
The minimum and maximum loan amounts for the fund have been set at Sh500 and Sh50,000, respectively.
John Mbadi says, “Kenyans don’t be deceived! Hustlers fund is just a loan like any other. Ni biashara yao wameanza.
You will dearly miss Baba’s monthly 6,000 social protection.”
Kenyans were shocked when Hustler Fund set their private person pin for Mpesa as a requirement to register and access the loans. Some have told SonkoNews that the only time a pin is requested is when deductions or payment is being done. They are not sure if they will onboard on the Hustler Fund.
Raila Odinga in his Azimio La Umoja manifesto promised Kenyans he’d give 6,000 Ksh monthly fund for social protection.
Edwin Sifuna, Nairobi Senator says: “This is simply Fuliza administered by the government. Although they initially stated that there would be no interest, they have since increased it to 8%. In what ways does it differ from Fuliza?
