Most WhatsApp users on Tuesday mid-morning reported that they were not able to send, receive messages or make phone calls.
According to reports, WhatsApp has been hacked and the management is working on it to correct the technical hitch.
Several attempts by a number of people revealed that WhatsApp was neither sending messages or receiving them. The same applied to the group forums. Below were sample from most users:
“I was on my way to Safaricom customer care anirudishie bundles. Bahati yake I could have created some chaos there.”
“People are running to Facebook to see if WhatsApp is down.”
“Wee this has just proven how many people are very idle in this country. Busy people wata notice saa saba huko.”
“My Whatsapp has not been working for the better part of today morning. Could it have been hacked? Very dissapointing.”
