President William Ruto has finally replaced Timothy Lekolool who has been serving as his Aide De Camp(ADC) since he was sworn into office.
Lekolool, has been replaced with Colonel Fabian Lengusuranga from the Kenya Army. He will be deputized Lt. Col. Damaris Agnetta who is also from Kenya Army. She takes over from Racheal Nduta Kamui who was from Kenya Airforce.
Lengusuranga’s first duty was to accompany the head of state to the burial of Rigathi Gachagua’ s brother in Nyeri but Lekolool was also present and he could be seen guiding the new ADC on his duties. He was dressed in a normal suit and not the police uniform he is usally in.
Ruto’s new ADC was commissioned in 1999. The military officer has served as senior Special Forces branch commander.
After serving Ruto for some weeks, Lekolool has now been deployed to the Defense Department headquarters. His deputy Nduta Kamui has also been promoted full Colonel and deployed to the Defence headquarters.
Lekolool served as former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s ADC until Ruto ascended to power. He is among the three ADC’s who worked for Uhuru.
Lekolool was from the Kenya navy and was promoted to a brigadier by Uhuru.
Aide De Camp’s duties including receiving gifts and other items on behalf of the president, carrying president personal items such as phones, ensure the president’s seat is well positioned in functions among other responsibilities.
