Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni was among the many heads of states who attended the inauguration of William Ruto as the fifth President of the Republic of Kenya.
The swearing in ceremony went down at the Moi International Sports Complex, Kasarani, on Tuesday where thousands of Kenyans from all walks of life witnessed physically as millions others followed the proceeding through social media, TV and Radio stations.
Among the guests present, Museveni stood out because he came along with his multimillion truck dubbed ‘Museveni’s toilet.’
Ugandans named the truck Museveni’s toilet because he carries it wherever he goes for national and international trips and uses it to relieve himself whenever he is out there.
The Ksh16 Million Mercedes truck is not just a toilet but a fully furnished ‘mini-home’ and workstation. According to sources from Uganda’s statehouse, who spoke to Chimp Reports, Museveni is workaholic and that is why he acquired the machine to facilitate his administrative work while in the field.
“Museveni works like a horse. Because he spends most of the time in the field, we were struggling to find him a comfortable mobile workstation. We had to carry printers, laptops, secure communication equipment and even food. It is then that we studied how other presidents were being facilitated in the field and that is how we opted for the mobile workstation(Hymer Motorhome) ” the source said.
The source further said that Museveni can have his letters written, printed and faxed inside the truck. He sometimes holds meetings in it during field work.
“When you see him entering the truck sometimes he is sending messages to the army,” the informant further revealed.
The truck contains a fully furnished kitchen and a tiny living room with white leather seats and can host up to six people.
The gray colored truck even has a red carpet at the three step door. It also has a fridge that stores drinks and other foodstuffs for the president’s use, a spacious bathroom with a water heating system, and comfortable beds that the president can use during trips.
As if that is not enough, the truck further boasts of state-of-the-art lighting system and a music system among other luxuries.
Kenyans were left dumbfounded by Museveni’s move to carry his own ‘toilet’ with some saying that he was very mean such that he did not want to leave his waste behind.
Well, Museveni is not the only leader with such a ‘tool’. North Korean President Kim Jung Un reportedly walks around his mobile toilet so as to avoid people from collecting his waste to carry out tests about his health conditions. The toilet is fitted in a limousine that forms part of his convoy.
