“Leave My Son Alone” Cleophas Malala’s Mother Nearly Wrestles Detectives For Breaking Into Her Son’s Home(Video)

Date:

Cleophas Malala’s mother is blaming Former Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya and his predecessor Fernandes Barasa of being behind the manhunt of his son by DCI detectives.

According to her, the two leaders are subjecting his son to torture yet they already won elections.

She added that her son is not a criminal for his home to be broken into by the detectives.

“This is so unfair to the Kenyan people and we are not going to allow it. Barasa got his votes and let him relax as a governor of Kakamega. We are Kenyans and we are going to fight over this. You can not torture my son like this. It is not allowed in Kenyan law, let’s go to court. Is he a criminal for you to come here like this, leave my son alone,” the greatly devastated mother said.

She further accused the detectives of torturing her grandchildren who were in the home at the time of the commotion.

She was in the company of Malala’s father among other relatives.

Malala’s home in Milimani, Kakamega was raided by police on Thursday over claims that he was involved in incidents of violence during the Monday August 29 mini-polls. A warrant of arrest against him was allegedly issued on Wednesday.

Further reports indicate that the former senator had locked himself inside the house when the detectives struck.

The new development comes just a day after Malala conceded defeat in the gubernatorial race saying that the election was peaceful and there were no incidents of rigging.

This also comes at a time when DCI had launched a manhunt of those behind the hacking of Oparanya’s Facebook page is ongoing. The move that saw him endorse Malala on the page as Kakamega local lineup to vote.
