“Hakuna Kile Mtafanya” Gachagua Hits At Uhuru, Kibicho As He Reveals Privileges He Is Currently Enjoying

Date:

As president Uhuru Kenyatta maintains his silence over the recent general elections, Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that he(Uhuru) is yet to congratulate William Ruto over his victory.

The deputy presidential hopeful however says it is not a big deal since it won’t stall plans to have Ruto  lead the country.

“Up to now, President Uhuru Kenyatta has not communicated to elected president William Ruto in any manner, which is his right because we can’t force him. If he does not want to congratulate him it is also okay but plans for William Ruto to take up the leadership of the country are underway,”  Gachagua said in an interview with Kass TV.

The former Mathira MP added that the swearing in ceremony of Ruto at Kasarani will go on just as the constitution dictates even if Uhuru does not want to hand over power to him.

“The likes of Murathe used to say that president Kenyatta will not hand over power to William Ruto. There is nowhere in the constitution that dictates President Uhuru Kenyatta to hand over power to William Ruto. What is in the constitution are guidelines on Ruto to take over leadership.

“On the day we will go to Kasarani if President Uhuru Kenyatta will come, we will be grateful if he won’t, the ceremony will go on because he has no position to hand over power,” Gachagua said.

He however hoped that the retiring president would do a noble thing and show up to hand over power to Ruto because they have been working together in government for the last 10 years as well as bid Kenyans bye.

Gachagua however did not shun from throwing jabs at Interior PS Karanja Kibicho and the rest of government officials who have been ‘frustrating’ him as he revealed some of the privileges that he is already enjoying as an incoming DP.

“Our security has been beefed up, we have been given government vehicles. The constitution is just the constitution, the likes of Kibicho hate me and they have frustrated me but they had no option because the constitution says they have to provide me with security.  Police officers don’t belong to them, they are paid by Kenyans, even if they don’t like us, there is nothing they can do because Kenyans have decided,” he said.
