ODM leader Raila Odinga, who is also the flag bearer of Azimio-OKA, voted at Old Kibera Primary school Polling station in Nairobi.
Raila was accompanied by his wife Ida Odinga, his son Raila Junior and many of his supporters.
The polling station has a total of 7,071 registered voters. Out of the number 4000 of them, representing 56.5 participated in voting.
Out of the 4000 votes cast, the former Prime minister garnered 2,420 representing 60.5 percent of the votes. His main opponent William Ruto got 1,525 (38.12 percent).
Roots Party candidate George Wajackoya got 13 votes while his Agano counterpart David Mwaure got 4 votes. The performance is according to results from 11 streams out of the total 12 streams at the polling center.
Raila’s main opponent William Ruto had an upper hand in his Kosachei polling center since 77.5% of registered voters turned up.
