Ruto Wins Big As Raila’s Kibra Supporters Get Tired Of Voting By 11AM To Escort Him On The Streets

Date:

Supporters of the Azmio presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Tuesday welcomed and escorted him to the Old Kibra polling station to cast his vote.

While the azimio supporters saw that as a big victory, those allied to William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza interpreted it as a good disruption since they left queuing at their various polling stations just to escort him to the polling stations.

These Kenyans felt that Raila’s supporters ought to be queuing in polling stations now and celebrate later if they win as opposed to  moving with him up and down which has little impact on voter turnout.

These are what Ruto’s supporters had to say about the Kibra event when they decided to walk with Raila on the streets:

“See Raila’s supporters escorting him to Kibra to cast just one vote instead of them storming their various polling stations with the same energy to vote their candidate. It’s high time our Azimio brothers learn that an election is won by voting, not by escorting your candidate to his polling station.”

“Alaa look at these ones so they were just in their houses waiting for Raila to come out instead of waiting at the polling stations? How I wish that number could be lining up in polling stations to vote and not camping near Raila. These people must learn that power is taken by voting not shouting.”

“Ruto must be laughing all the way to the bank. See these ones are not at the polling stations and are just hanging around big prados wakifuata mheshimiwa.”

Interestingly, these Raila supporters could not give him space even after voting as they decided that they would escort him further outside the polling station, making many wonder if they were registered voters or whether they were just waiting for victory without going to the polling stations to vote.
