Raila Reacts To Gachagua Scratching His Head At Polling Station After KIEMS Kit Failed On Him

Date:

The Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga has broken his silence on Rigathi Gachagua scratching his head at the polling station after the KIEMS kit failed to identify him.

Raila spoke at his Karen home as he was just about to make his way to the Kibra to cast his vote together with his wife mama Ida Odinga and other close family members.

The Orange Democratic Movement leader said that he was amazed that Rigahti Gachagua who vehemently opposed the manual backup was the first one to benefit from it.

At the same time, the ODM leader urged Kenyans to turn out in large numbers and vote as he expressed confidence of winning the election at the end of the day.

The issue of voter register divided the leaders with the Azimio advocating for manual backup while Kenya Kwanza insisting on exclusive electronic voter identification. In fact, Kenya Kwanza team even went to the court of appeal on Monday a few hours before the election insisting that the manual register should not be in the picture.

That means even Rigathi Gachagua ought not to have voted if at all the commission followed what Ruto’s side proposed that only electronic register should be used on voting day.
