“Hapo Ni Kidole!” Ruto Lauds His Boss Uhuru Kenyatta Just A Week Before He Officially Retires

Date:

Deputy President William Ruto on Monday August 1, returned to his Eldoret backyard in a bid to seek more support in the coming general elections just a day after his opponent Raila Odinga toured the area.

The second in command was accompanied by his fellow  Kenya Kwanza co-principals alongside with his allies drawn from various parts of the country including Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru.

The team received a grand reception as thousands of locals showed up proving that he is still the kingpin in the region and Raila’s visit did not have any impact.

While addressing the crowd, Ruto however did not speak with malice for the first time about his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta, with whom they have been recently exchanging words with the climax of it all being on Friday, where Ruto furiously asked Uhuru to stop threatening him.

“But Uhuru is our friend and only has 7 days to go home, initially he used to say he will not hand over to Ruto but yesterday he said that he will hand over to whoever will win. That is a thumbs up Mr. President, hand over to whoever Kenyans have decided. You also said that whoever will lose you will retire with, thank you so much now prepare yourself with Kitendawili load and go home,” he said.

The presidential hopeful however did not refrain from questioning him why he chose to support Raila instead of picking any of those who supported him in the previous elections if he was not interested in supporting him.

“I am asking you here at home, didn’t we form the government in 2013? We got united,  about 7 million people, and denounced tribalism, hatred and division. We formed the government in 2017, Kitendawili was not with us, Mama Karua wasn’t either. Have we lacked someone to lead us such that they go to rent a person to lead us?” Ruto posed.

“Please Mr President, please respect us a little bit,  Let’s speak the truth, how do you take us, 10 million people who supported you? Did you evaluate the 10 million of us and found us unfit for you to support Raila?” he added.
