Azimio presidential runningmate Martha Karua has taken a swipe at the deputy president William Samoei Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza side.
Martha Karua while speaking in Meru on Thursday expressed her displeasure at how the young people were being used by the Tangatanga side to heckle her.
According to Raila Odinga’s runningmate, it was high time politicians sent their sons and daughters to do such dirty works of heckling instead of misusing the Kenyan youths.
“If you have money instead of sending youths come and snatch the microphone from me by yourself. Young people, I urge you not to be misused by tycoons with money. You cannot be hired with 100 shillings to do childish work and the one hiring you has children that he can send to do such but he cannot because he believes his children are too important for such.
“Our people, even if you don’t have money, there is a day God will bless you if Azimio wins so that you have your own money and resist those hiring you. Lets be gentle we will continue selling the Azimio agenda in our region.” Continued the former Gichugu member of parliament.
Since her unveiling as the runningmate, Martha Karua has continued to sell Raila Odinga in central Kenya. Despite being heckled by a few hired goons at various spots, the iron lady has managed to sell her agenda to the Mountain people.
Surprisingly, her message has been accepted across Mt. Kenya contrary to what many people believed. Majority of Ruto diehards believed that the ground was with him but the entry of Martha has spoiled the arithmetics, a move which has made the Kenya kwanza team to go back to the Mountain and camp there for five days.
