Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko experienced a long day in Mombasa after he was forcefully ejected from an azimio rally.
According to local reports by one Mr. Robert, Mike Sonko came late and he could not stomach the move by the other supporters to deny him entry.
“I told Azimio guys to stop entertaining the thug called Sonko. Now see! He came late intentionally and when people showed reluctance to accept him, he was shooting at the crowd. This thug should be in jail. His club in Mombasa should be closed. This is a drug peddler.” Reported Robert Alai.
However, other sources have revealed to Sonko News that governor Joho had ordered that Sonko should not be allowed in since he came late with the intention of spoiling the Azimio rally.
Joho even asked Sonko not to come to the podium with his car but the defiant former Nairobi governor could not take that directive by Joho.
From the video clip in our possession, the car that was carrying the former Nairobi governor ran into the crowd in what others described as a killer mission aimed at hurting them. In fact, one person was badly knocked by this car that was ferrying Sonko and it is not clear whether he is well or not.
On their side, Kenyans had the following to say about Sonko’s Mombasa incident:
“Driving a car into a packed crowd Is a no.Stupidity of the highest order..He almost knocked people…”
“Why was he coming late? Sonko is not for PEACE..even in presidential dias All leaders must be seated before president arrived to create order…. its quite unfortunate.why arrives late?”
 “That man thrives on chaos,war and insecurity. If only Mombasa people knew!”
“Wiper is messing all this,hide and seek games,wiper and odm are partners in Azmio-one kenya alliance then Kalonzo imposed sonko in msa yet Nassir was already there!!!”
“Sonko did something wrong, he should have come by foot and not trying to outshine anyone. Akwende huko!”
“If sonko genuinely wanted to join Baba in this rally, he should have joined earlier and not when everyone is seated. A breach of protocol aimed at creating chaos.”
