Laikipia County Woman Cate Waruguru has finally recovered after losing in the UDA nomination exercise that was conducted on April 14.
The vocal lawmaker has been keeping a low profile since the shocking loss considering that she is one of the strongest supporters of Deputy President William Ruto.
Waruguru was eyeing the Laikipia East parliamentary seat but was floored by the incumbent Amin Deddy who garnered 12,723 votes against her 5, 595 votes.
She protested the results saying that the whole exercise had been marred with irregularities while accusing her competitor of colluding with UDA officials to rig against her.
Two days after the bitter loss, Waruguru announced that she will give detailed information about her next move after the Easter holiday.
“‘Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life.’ I want to thank my supporters for their continued support as I assure them that all is well.I will issue a comprehensive statement on my next course of action after the Easter holiday. Happy Easter !!!” She said on April 16 via social media.
Waruguru is now active again and has maintained that DP William Ruto is still the person she is supporting for presidency in the August 9 polls.
On Thursday she posted a campaign poster of the second in command and In a separate photo, she asked her supporters not to believe in rumors.

To add on that, Waruguru also attended the Prayer breakfast that DP Ruto organized at his official Karen residence. Leaders allied to the DP attended the prayer meeting.
This comes amid rumors that she was headed for Azimio after the great disappointment last month.
A week ago, she was spotted with Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, at Hamad International Airport in Dubai. The duo were returning to the country from a US trip. Karua was part of the team that accompanied former prime minister Raila Odinga for the US trip on April 22, 2022.
Previously, she was also spotted with Safina Party presidential candidate Jimi Wanjigi, also raising questions whether she was going to support him.
