Kiambu Women Rep aspirant Anne Wa Muratha might have just lost a good number of votes after a video of her treating locals with contempt emerged on social media
The United Democratic Alliance aspirant was captured serving the people pieces of cakes by throwing at them just as someone would do when feeding chicken.
Apparently, the incident happened last year during the event when Inooro TV presenter Njoroge Wa Githinji was celebrating 16 years of media excellence at the Ruiru stadium.

Netizens have slammed the politician for subjecting locals to such a treatment with some saying the video is disturbing.
“That video of Kiambu politicians throwing food at the crowd like chicken being fed on grains is disturbing. Very disturbing,” Ja Loka said.
“Have you watched how this criminal Wamuratha is treating the common mwananchi ? What do politicians take us for bana. This is just so sad to watch,” Ian James Mwai commented.
“She should be called in for this, how much does it cost to get people to be orderly and serve them, one vote out, very disrespectful for the common mwananchi, shame on you wamuratha!!!” Peter Njoroge said.
The matter has come back to haunt Wa Muratha over her recent sentiments on the mental health status of Kiambu locals.
In a TV interview, where she was hosted alongside Murang’a Women Rep hopeful Waithera Muithirania, Wa Muratha, a renowned marriage counselor claimed that most people in Kiambu are struggling with insanity.
She however promised to address the challenge once she is elected to office on August 9, 2022.
“People know the problem they face. If you ask me about Kiambu and if given the woman representative position, I would first deal with mental health issues. Residents are mentally unwell here. I would also want to work with a governor who would help me expedite the job because I feel it’s almost everyone who is affected,” she said in the interview with Inooro TV
Wa Muratha came under fire over the sentiments with netizens calling upon her to apologize to the locals.
Clarifying her remarks, she said that she did not mean that those with mental issues are mad, as people had interpreted.
According to her, mental illness is an issue affecting the whole country. She called upon her political rivals against politicizing the issue and instead join hands with her in fighting the menace.
