“The Future Of Our Country Is On Your Hands” 10-Year Old Girl’s Moving Message To DP Ruto

Date:

10-year old Abilasha Muthoni once again moved DP William Ruto with her poem during a church function in Kiambu.

First, Abilasha acknowledged that a lot has changed in her life ever since her first encounter with DP Ruto.

“I am 10 years old by the name Abilasha Muthoni. I am so happy to be here worshiping with my deputy president and my life has changed a lot since I met my deputy president and I am here to give thanks to God and him,” the 10-year old said before she recited her poem.

In her poem, the girl said that  DP Ruto has been taking care of her school fees and said that she is going to make him proud.

She also urged Kenyans to exercise their patriotic right, those above 18 years old, by voting when the general elections date finally comes.

“My Deputy President, what a privilege and honor to stand before you once again. Thanking you in front of all these people, for your act of kindness and generosity that changed my life. My school fees is well taken care of with no worries at all , I promise to make you proud.

“Kenyans, let’s put our nation first by exercising our patriotic right as long as you are 18 but unfortunately for me I am just 10 years old. Your vote, your right, your duty come the actual day, mjitokelezee kujitokelezea  ama aje wakristo?” Muthoni posed.

She further called upon Kenyans to pray even as they cast the votes so that the country is not divided by hatred

“Cast your vote prayerfully for all power, all authority comes from God. let us not allow tribalism, bribery and hatred to divide us and bring war but the peace of the law to prevail in all parts of the country but the peace of the Lord to prevail in every part of our country and even after the election, Kenya will still be a safe place for all of us ,” Muthoni recited.

The girl also told DP Ruto that he should make the country better for this generation and those that are to come

“We are one people, Kenyans, choose peace not war, life not death, the future of our country is in your hands, make Kenya a better place for us and the future generations to find,” Muthoni told DP Ruto and finally gave him a bouquet of flowers.

A year ago, after Muthoni recited a moving poem at a function attended by DP Ruto, he promised to buy a car for her mother and vowed to follow her performance in school.

The DP had also had an encounter with the 10-year old six months before the function.
