Money Moves Mountains! Old Photos Of Millicent Omanga When She Was Broke, Worn Out And Ashy

Date:

Nominated senator Millicent Omanga has proved that she has not always been voluptuous and flashy as she currently is, her old photos speak a different story altogether.

During ThrowBack Thursday, Omanga decided to give her followers a glimpse of the far she has come from by sharing her old photo.

It is not clear how old she was then but at that moment no one had an idea that she would have such a bright future.

“God is good,” she captioned her photo.

Her followers were however curious to know how she ended up being bootyful because she was slim and there were no signs of her current body structure while others were quick to note the difference that money can bring in someone’s life, whether genuine or from corruption.

“Hahaaa, Pesa ni Afya na ni sabuni ya maisha yawaaa!” read a comment on her post.

“Oh! Thought you are committed to a better tomorrow, kumbe you are committed to creation of mountains,” another Twitter user said.

Omanga has not always had life on a silver spoon especially after the death of her father in 1999. The late Omanga was a mechanic at the Postal Corporation of Kenya and after his death, which was caused by a road accident, the family woes began but he had left them a place to call home in Ongata Rongai.

Her mother, Joyce Omanga, was left with the burden of raising 7 children, all girls, by cracking stones and selling them as kokoto and also engaging in small-scale farming.

The politician however beat all odds to complete her education. She joined a Medical Training college through sponsorship after her KCSE in 1999 and later joined University of Nairobi for a Journalism course.

20-year old Omanga

She indulged in business before being appointed as one of the directors at Kengen with the help  of DP William Ruto and that explains why she has always had his back.

She tossed herself into the political world and intended to vie for Nairobi women Rep seat in 2017 via Jubilee ticket but Rachel Shebesh beat her to it and that is how she ended up being a nominated senator.

Omanga is married to Dr. Francis Nyamibo and together they have two children, a boy who is the eldest and a girl.
