Gatundu South member of parliament Moses Kuria is regretting why deputy president William Samoei Ruto did not succeed in his attempted coup against president Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Moses Kuria, he will never forgive Ruto if the allegations of him trying to illegally take power from Uhuru sometimes back are true.
“If what William Ruto was accused of is true, this county will never forgive him for not succeeding.” Posted Moses Kuria on Sunday morning.
This comes just a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday hosted a group of Kikuyu elders where he opened up to them on what really made him part ways with the deputy president.
Uhuru told these elders that William Ruto had very evil plans against him immediately he was sworn into office for the second term. According to the head of state, there were elaborate plans by his deputy to kick him out of power before his term could come to an end in 2022.
Part of the plans included impeaching the president and that is why the second in command made sure that he bought most of the Jubilee MPS from the Central region to his side.
Sonko News has further learnt that William Ruto was in the process of wooing Raila Odinga so that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) members of parliament could buy the script of impeaching president Uhuru. This was premised on the belief that Raila could not reject any offer to bring down his arch rival Mr. Kenyatta.
However, the opposition leader was not for this idea and he betrayed the whole plan through what is popularly known as the handshake. Interestingly, this was more of a set up from the deputy president since he wanted the impeachment motion to come from the ODM side and later blame Raila for planning to overthrow their Uhuruto government if the plans failed.
The source added that all these were meant to make president Uhuru hate Raila as the man of “coup” but thanks to Raila who is always 100 kilometers ahead of all the politicians in Kenya. The ODM leader had leant that he was being set up by the deputy president, hence quickly going for a handshake with his political rival.
Even recently during the Jubilee National delegates Conference (NDC) at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC), president Uhuru publicly confessed that Raila saved him from the political hyenas who wanted to finish and send him to the deepest corner of political oblivion.
The head of state revealed that were it not for the ODM leader, then he would be nowhere now politically.
