Kalonzo Musyoka is also another of Kenya’s flamboyant politicians even though he does not display that in public.
The wiper leader, who served as Kenya Vice President in 2008-2013, has accumulated wealth and property that has placed his net worth at $200 million since joining politics in 1985.
One particular property that became of interest a few months and years ago was his Yatta farm in Machakos county where his huge rural mansion sits.
The property was in the spotlight after DP William claimed that he had grabbed the land from the National Youth service.
“You have been a minister in almost every ministry and the Vice President and the only record you have is that your Farm belongs to NYS,” DP Ruto told Bomet locals back in 2021.
Kalonzo responded saying that Ruto was the one who is the chief of land grabbing. He also surrendered himself for investigation over Ruto’s allegations while challenging the second in command to do the same.
Other sources however claimed that Kalonzo received the piece of land during the late former Daniel Arap Moi as a gift, having served in his cabinet.
Back at the height of 2017 general elections the land grabbing were fueled by the current Nairobi senator Jonson Sakaja.
Months later, a report by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations confirmed that Kalonzo was the legal owner of the 200 acre piece of land and that he is the second owner of the farm.
The land originally belonged to NYS who said they had no interest in the piece of land.
Kalonzo acquired the peace in early 1990s.Here are some of the photos of his beautiful rural mansion.
Apart from the beautiful vast house in Yatta farm, the farm also hosts some wild animals including a rare type of antelope.
