Popular Kamba gospel singer Stephen Kasolo is on the spot for subjecting a minor to verbal harassment and torture.
This after a video of him threatening to kill the minor, who is his daughter, Shine, of about 3 years of age, surfaced online.
“…before I strangle you,” Kasolo is heard telling the minor as the video begins and the girl responds, “taka mama(I want mum)”.
“When someone is wrong what do they say?” he asks the girl. “Sorry,” the minor says in tears.
As the 2.20 minutes long video goes on, Kasolo goes on to insist that he can strangle her. Apparently, the girl had broken his expensive water bottle.
“I can’t hear you, don’t joke with me I can kill you,” Kasolo says as the terrified girl bursts into tears while telling him that he loves him. The singer however does not show mercy to the child and continues issuing the threats and is not concerned on the mental torture that he is causing the girl.
Kasolo goes on to make the girl repeat the words ‘I will strangle you’ after him and asks her to tell his fans why she was being punished. He goes to the extent of illustrating how it is done.
Not everyone can be a parent. This is some “popular gospel artist” called Stephen Kasolo.
Sad that he takes a child through such trauma. Then films himself doing that.

The video has angered Kenyans with some demanding action against him for subjecting a minor to cruelty.

“It is Not Only disgusting But Criminal. Subjecting A toddler To Such Cruelity is BAD,” Shem Kibunja said.
“Waa huyo mtu anajua trauma ni nini..he is an idiot.he should be arrested!” Karis Brian’s comment read.
James Ong’injo said, “Type of people who were never taught manners I wonder what kind of Gospel music he does! and who are his audience.”
