President Uhuru Kenyatta’s term in office is coming to an end and that means that he will now have to vacate The Statehouse.
The President will leave The statehouse after the August 9 polls so that the incoming to pave room for the incoming president
However, when it comes to where the president is heading next after 10 years in the Statehouse, the head of state is prepared and has several options.
Here is a list of homes that President Kenyatta owns.
House near Statehouse
President Kenyatta owns a multi million mansion that is close to The Statehouse along Dennis Pritt Road. The house was constructed to a level that fits a sitting head of state and it is said to have cost a whopping Kshs 700 Million.
The house is surrounded by an electric fence, has bullet proof windows among other features that boost security.
The mansion was constructed to replace a kingly bungalow that was built in the precolonial days. The bungalow is said to have belonged to Agha Khan before the Late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta owned it.
According to reports, the house was given to Mzee Jomo Kenyatta just as an independence gift a week before Kenya marked Independence Day.
Ichaweri Home.
Aside from the modern home in the city, the son of Jomo has a rural home in Kiambu county where his father would also spend time when he was not on duty.
The house is also said to have been constructed by British colonialists to compensate the late Jomo Kenyatta for the number of years he served in Kapenguria prison as they took over his land.
The house was remodeled and roads leading to the home repaired to fit that of a man who is in control of the nation.
Gicheha Farm
President Kenyatta is also the proud owner of the 4000-acre farm that is located in Nakuru County, a kilometer off Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
Here, the head of state rears over 1000 animals including different breeds of imported cattle such as Ankole from Uganda, Brangus, Charolais, Hereford, Brahman and local breeds such as the Borans and Sahiwahls.
Aside from that, the farm also hosts dorper sheep and galla goats. The animals are mainly kept for their meat.

Finally, President Kenyatta owns a 1000-acre piece of land in Narok county. This is where the president crossed over the New Year, breaking the tradition of welcoming the Year in Mombasa.
The home is located in the Oloolmongi area in Lolgorian Ward. The president acquired the ranch in 2020 from the Olerien and Kengani group.
It is speculated that that is where he will spend most of his time after retirement. Sources reveal that the ranch borders that of DP William Ruto
