“Rosemary Odinga Is Ripe For The Kibra Parliamentary Seat” Kenyans Pleased With Raila’s Daughter Full Recovery

Date:

Raila Odinga’s daughter, Rosemary,  has finally regained her full sight after undergoing treatment in India.

The 44-year old recently went to India in the company of her father for check-up and treatment of the eye problem that began after suffering a minor stroke in 2017.

Rosemary underwent treatment at the  Ayurvedic Eye Hospital and Research Center in Kerala, Southwestern of India. The treatment that helped restore her eyesight involved use of herbs that helped in rejuvenating the neuro system.

“When I did the test, I could see the letters and the doctor,” she said in an interview with an Indian news platform.

“Before coming to India for treatment, I was pretty much living in darkness. I was simply existing,” she went on.

After suffering the stroke, the mother of two went blind. She regained her sight two years later but only in one of her eyes although she could not see clearly.

Before beginning treatment in India, she had sought treatment in South Africa, Germany, Israel and China. Rosemary first went to the Indian hospital in 2019.

“After two years of treatment, I am able to even read messages on the phone. My family and I are indebted to Sreedhareeyam,” she said.

Following the news of Rosemary’s recovery, Kenyans have taken to social media to express how happy they are for her and her family.

A twitter user even asked whether she would be in the race for the Kibra parliamentary seat, an ambition she shelved after falling ill.

“Does it now mean that Rosemary Odinga is ripe for the Kibra Parliamentary seat? I remember she shelved her quest for the seat in 2017 due to her ill-health. She has now fully regained her eye sight through ayurvedic treatment,” Substone Osoro said.

“Give her some love Rosemary Odinga has finally regained her previously lost sight back. We thank God. Inawezekana,” George Bodo tweeted

Rosemary is expected back in the country on February 28 but the ODM leader is already back.
