Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga has termed Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula as thieves.
While speaking in Dagoretti North after a church service in Kawangware, Raila addressed the residents of Dagoretti and took the opportunity to preach his Azimio La Umoja initiative.
Raila took the opportunity to weigh on the recent political decision by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Wetangula to join William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
The ODM leader told the residents to ignore the two Luhya leaders since they had regrouped as thieves to eat the country together, raising the previous corruption scandals by Mudavadi such as grabbing of the Lang’ata cemetery.
“Wale ni wezi wamejikusanya pamoja ili wakule nchi.” said Raila amid chants from the excited crowd.
Raila promised to improve people’s lives by introducing a comprehensive health care in the country through his Babacare programme. At the same time, the ODM leader reiterated his earlier sentiment of the economic stimulus plan of giving 6,000 Kenya shillings per household with no formal employment.
Raila was accompanied by his ODM allies such as Embakasi member of parliament Babu Owino, ODM Secretary general Edwin Museveni, Westland member of parliament Tim Wanyonyi, Makadara MP George Aladwa, Siaya senator James Orengo, Rarieda member of parliament Otiende Amollo amongst other aspirants within Dagoretti area.
These leaders took a serious onslaught at the two Luhya leaders for selling their souls to William Ruto at a cheap cost and eating the money alone without sharing the proceeds with the Mulembe nation.
According to them, it is the reason why members of parliament allied to Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC dumped him like hot potato just a few days after he defected to the deputy president’s UDA.
With regards to the ongoing voter registration, the opposition leader urged the residents of Nairobi to take advantage of the remaining six days to register in large numbers because that is the only tool which could make the Statehouse dream come true.
