In what seems to be a betrayal within the city, Kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru has exposed the dirty tricks used by deputy president William Samoei Ruto to earn the big crowds in his political rallies.
Through a video that has so far gone viral, Anne Waiguru was coaching a rented crowd on how they would cheer during Ruto’s scheduled rally in Kirinyaga county.
Being a newcomer in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), the Kirinyaga boss is just following the say: When you go to Rome you do what the Romans do. It therefore goes without any doubts that Waiguru was just emulating what has been ongoing.
A source which spoke to Sonko News last month gave a blow by blow account how deputy president’s allies in Mt. Kenya literally hire crowds to create a perception. However, Sonko News treated that information as hearsay until we came across Anne Waiguru’s coaching video.
Seated in some field, Waiguru took to her feet to literally teach these youths and help them memorise what they would utter during the rally.
Waiguru chanted UDA as the rented crowd shouted “Kazi ni Kazi” ” Wera Wera” Minji Minji” “Bottom Up”, “Uchumi Bora”, “Pesa mfukoni” “kenya Kwanza” Kura Kwa Ruto”. To further memorise the script, Waiguru proceeded to recite speech by saying: ” Tunakaribisha wageni wetu kutoka eneo zote za Kenya”
On their side, kenyans did not take this matter lightly with many people having different views on crowd coaching. This is how Kenyans reacted:
“Aki pesa wewe..???. Hata mi nikipewa nitafanya tu hivyo but more louder..”
“Where are the women? It looks like closing day in a boys’ boarding school headed by a headmistress. ????”
“Who are these impostors? I have not seen anyone from Kirinyaga here.”

“Nice proof that UDA crowds are not natural. These are paid to attend coaching and paid more to attend the rally, they are also paid after doing a good job. Stress mob.”
