William Ruto locked out of Uhuru Kenyatta’s Madaraka plans

Date:

The Deputy President William Ruto has been locked out of the anticipated Madaraka Day virtual celebration that will be hosted by the President, Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.

According to a senior confidant of the Deputy President, President Uhuru Kenyatta who is set to hold the Madaraka Day celebrations in State House on June 1st, 2020 hasn’t invited his deputy.
The 57th national celebrations will be streamed through all local media houses and through online platforms.

Interior PS Karanja Kibicho said on Tuesday that the Government decided to hold the function at State House to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

Even though William Ruto is not invited, Uhuru Kenyatta has invited KANU Chairman, Gideon Moi, Central Organisation of Trade Union Secretary General, Francis Atwoli, ODM Party leader, Raila Odinga, Wiper Democratic Movement party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya party leader, Moses Wetangula among so many others.

Uhuru Kenyatta’s move isn’t surprising because the two have not been in good terms for a long time and it’s now public knowledge.

Reliable grapevines say William Ruto is bound to be impeached sooner rather than later.
